Gros Bao is a big Chinese canteen. We went to Hongkong with our architects to bring Honkongese vibe in the restaurant. The red lamps and the furniture were bought directly in Hong Kong. We used a full vibrant red color and 200 lamps to make the light reflect in the Canal Saint-Martin in Paris. We used the red color and XXL menus to bring Chinese kitsch references and make it cool with formica and inox materials.
